Road-legal electric bike can be ridden by anyone over the age of 16 years old

Cit-e-motion scooters are restricted to 30 mph/48 kph (the equivalent of a 50cc/30 mph petrol moped)

Eligible Riders & Licences

  • Full car licence issued before Feb 1st 2001
  • Full car licence issued after Feb 1st 2001 and a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) Certificate
  • 16 and over with a Provisional Moped Licence and a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) Certificate
  • Any class of full motorbike driving licence

What else do I require to ride?

  • Riders must wear a helmet and the bike needs to be registered, as well as display a number plate and an MOT once over three years old
  • Insurance is compulsory
  • We highly recommend that you wear protective clothing and gloves
  • You do not need Road Tax or Petrol
